"Nanosaur II: Hatchling" is a 3-D game from Pangea Software, and (as far as I know) still the only commercial game for the Macintosh with stereo graphics. It's not really the sort of game I personally enjoy -- the first-person 3D perspective makes me dizzy -- so I recuse myself from judging the gameplay as such. You can read reviews from more qualified gamers for that.
But I can judge the 3-D graphics. Since the title was published four years ago, I honestly wasn't expecting the graphics to be so good. I was pleasantly surprised. I can confirm that all of the anaglyph screen shots posted to the publisher's website are accurate portrayals of the game. The prehistoric world is so well rendered, I wished I could just stroll along and look at it for awhile, rather than fly through it and explode from hitting a tree. Maybe the next release could have a "never mind the game" mode, just for me.
Nanosaur 2 costs $34.95 on disc, which comes with 3-D glasses, or $19.95 to download (but you'll have to get your own 3-D glasses).
If you just want to try it out, there is a free demo you can play without buying it. That's what I did.
